On December 9th, Wei Siqi, Deputy General Manager of Xiaomi's Automotive Marketing Department, revealed that the release of Xiaomi 15 Ultra has not been postponed and is scheduled for February 2025. A whistleblower has released more information about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's 200 million pixel periscope telephoto lens: the device does not use Samsung HP9 sensors like its competitors, but instead uses a brand new CMOS sensor jointly developed by the company.
Previously, many speculations suggested that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's 200 million pixel periscope telephoto lens would use the Samsung HP9 sensor, which is Samsung's first 200MP (200 million pixel) image sensor for telephoto cameras. The optical format is 1/1.4 inch, the pixel size is 0.56 microns, and it supports 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video shooting. Previously, this sensor had appeared on models such as vivo X100 Ultra and vivo X200 Pro.
Recently, a satellite mobile terminal model "25019PNF3C" has been officially launched into the network. The applicant and manufacturer are both Xiaomi Communication Technology Co., Ltd. The new device supports 90W fast charging and provides a dual satellite communication version. Based on other information, it is highly likely that the device is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The expected configuration of Xiaomi 15 Ultra includes: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, 2K resolution OLED four curved screen, 6000mAh silicon negative battery, full blooded wireless charging system, rear quad camera Leica imaging, one inch ultra large bottom main camera, and more..
