Top 10 best-selling models in China announced: Apple accounts for half, Huawei Xiaomi Oppo Vivo Honor has one each
On December 6, 2024, Canalys, a research organization, announced the top ten models of smartphone market shipments in Chinese Mainland in the third quarter of 2024:
Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max: 3% market share
Honor X50: Share 2.8%
Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max: 2.8% market share
OPPO A3x: Share 2.8%
Apple iPhone 16 Pro: 2.4% market share
Huawei Pura 70: 2.3% market share
Xiaomi REDMI K70 Ultra: 2.3% market share
Apple iPhone 15 Pro: 2.3% market share
Apple iPhone 15: 2.3% market share
Vivo Y37: 2.3% market share
Overall, among the top ten models in terms of shipment volume, Apple alone has five models on the list, while Honor, OPPO, Huawei, Xiaomi, and Vivo, the five major domestic mobile phone manufacturers, each have one model on the list. In addition, Canalys stated that although the global economic situation has recovered and consumer demand has gradually rebounded since the first half of this year, Canalys remains cautiously optimistic about the shipment performance in the second half of this year due to rising cost pressures and increasingly fierce low-end markets. The global smartphone shipment volume is expected to be 1.22 billion units in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 6%.
