Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special

On October 21st, Samsung Electronics announced the release of the Galaxy Z Fold special edition foldable screen phone. This phone is actually a special version based on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This new phone not only becomes Samsung's thinnest, lightest, and largest foldable screen phone to date, but also reaches new heights in camera configuration for the Galaxy series.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has achieved a significant breakthrough in exterior design, with a thickness of only 10.6 millimeters when folded and as thin as 4.9 millimeters when unfolded, weighing 236 grams, which is 3 grams less than the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold 6. Despite the reduced size, the screen size of the new device has reached an unprecedented 8-inch resolution of QXGA+, with an aspect ratio of 20:18 and support for HDR10+. Meanwhile, the external screen of the device is 6.5 inches with a ratio of 21:9.

In terms of imaging, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition(SE) is equipped with a top of the line rear quad camera system, including a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide angle lens, two 10MP telephoto lenses (one of which supports 3x optical zoom), and a front camera consisting of a 10MP camera and a 4MP off screen camera, capable of recording 4K 60fps video and 8K 30fps video.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor, with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage space, running the Android 14 based One UI 6.1.1 operating system, and promising up to seven years of major system updates. In addition, the phone also supports various connection technologies such as GPS, 5G, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, UWB, NFC, etc.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be launched in South Korea on October 25th, and it is currently uncertain whether it will be available in other markets.
